March 23, 2017 brought to a close 82 years of a life well lived for Charolette Joye Mitchell. She was born January 28, 1935 in McPherson, KS to Flossie and Carol J. Herschberger. She grew up in Ashland, KS where she met her husband, Harold Mitchell and they were married May 9, 1952.
Charolette worked for GE, AT&T and later Lucent Technologies from which she retired. She and Harold loved to hunt and fish, and they especially enjoyed going dancing where they could kick up their heels! Charolette loved family dinners, especially at the holidays. She is remembered by her family as loving and caring, joyful and loved to make you laugh.
Charolette was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents; and daughter, Janet Marie Haven.
Left to cherish her memories are her children, Pricella Brandenberg and husband Larry, Linda Jean Alexander, Betty Bates, Donna Kay Loudon and husband James, Karen Sue Scheer, and Paul Wayne Mitchell and wife Janneta; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services to celebrate Charolette’s life will be 10:00am Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in The Chapel at Resthaven. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00pm Monday, March 27th at Resthaven. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
