Barbara Sue Brown

Barbara Sue Brown entered her Heavenly home on April 17, 2024. She was born October 26, 1945 in Elk City, OK to Floyd D. Burns and Patricia L. Hogue. Barbara grew up in Pauls Valley. She married Ronnie Brown on August 31, 1991. She was a factory worker and waitress for most of her career life. She worked at Fred Jones and Lopez Foods. Her most favorite job that she spent the most time at was Lucky’s Pool Hall. She was a waitress there for many years and truly enjoyed and cherished the many friendships she made there over the years. In addition, she loved watching sports there and was an avid fan of the OU Sooners and the OKC Thunder.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Floyd D. Burns and Patricia L. Hogue; sister, Carolyn Bryant; and brother, Floyd “Butch” Burns.

Those left to continue her legacy include her husband, Ronnie L. Brown; children, Frankie Bryant and husband Jason, Kristie Harris, Billy “BJ” Bowen II, John Fortson and wife Peggy, and Sharon Neimann and husband Nathan; grandchildren, Anthony Ramirez and wife Alondra, Alyssa Ramirez, Landon Wiser, Brayden Bowen, Marc Enriquez, Krystal Fisher, Trey Dunagen, Andrew Dunagen, Michelle Chaney, Joshua Fortson, Johnathan Fortson, Jacob Fortson, and Johnny Fortson; and great-grandchildren, Angel Ramirez, Ivy Ramirez, Hayden Ramirez, Ian Ramirez, Riley Williams, and Emma Olson.

Barbara's Celebration of Life service is 10:00am, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in the Chapel at Resthaven. Services will be live-streamed for those who wish to attend virtually. Please use the link below to access the live-stream.
