Our dear momma, Wilma Guinn Hatfield, 92 1/2, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 14, 2023. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her.
Wilma enjoyed singing and playing hymns on the piano, organ, and guitar. She used all of these for God’s glory both in church and in her own home. She was also an avid gardener who loved to grow flowers and vegetables, but more than anything loved sharing what she grew with others.
She made potholders every year for her family with whatever old pieces of cloth she had at the time because that’s all she had to give, and she made them with all of the love in her heart.
She is survived by her four daughters, Carolyn Watson and husband, Donald, Phyllis Cross and husband, Loren, Lea Anne Booth and husband, Mark, Deborah Wallace and husband, Duane; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; countless friends and family members. She treated everyone like they were her own children.
Wilma’s life will be celebrated with services at 2:00p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 in the chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Viewing will be from 5:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
