June 16, 2017 brought to a close 88 years of a life well lived for William “Bill” Bruce Means. He was born August 2, 1928 in Bromide, Oklahoma to Margaret “Maggie” (Green) and Charles Bruce Means. Bill graduated from Bromide High School in 1946. He proudly served our country in the United States Army from October of 1951 to September of 1953 in Air Reconnaissance at the DMZ during the Korean War. Bill worked for the Dolese Company both before and after his time in the Army. He then moved to Oklahoma City in 1963 and went to work for Capitol Steel and Iron in 1964. Bill went on to retire as a federal employee for Tinker Air Force Base in 1992. Visitation for Bill will be from 1:00-8:00pm Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services to celebrate Bill’s life will be 10:00am Thursday, June 22, 2017 in The Chapel at Resthaven with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
