Jack Derrick

Jack Derrick of Mustang, Oklahoma, passed away on January 5, 2021, in Mustang, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years.

Jack Derrick was born on November 30, 1955, in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was the son of CD and Mary Lou (Auten) Derrick. He moved with his family to California at the age of eight years, where he attended elementary school. In 1969 they moved to Oklahoma City where he attended Mustang Public Schools graduating from Mustang High School in 1974. He joined the United States Air Force where he served for twenty-two years. Following his retirement, he flew 747 air freight retiring in 2008 and he retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 2015. He lived life to the fullest, enjoyed flying, building and shooting firearms. He married Sue Marker on November 13, 1992, and they have had twenty-eight years together.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Derrick of Mustang; two sons, Gary Edward Derrick of Oklahoma City, and Allen Derrick of Oklahoma City; one daughter; and six grandchildren.
