Wanda Jean Henslee July 10, 1934 – May 23, 2023 (88 years)
With grateful hearts, we share the passing of Wanda Jean Henslee on May 23, 2023. She was born July 10, 1934, in Vanderbilt, Arkansas to General Francis and Jessie Odell Ward, who preceded her in death along with seven siblings, husband Eldon Ray Henslee, son Boyd Franklin Hadley and son Roy Dean Hadley.
Wanda was a professional hairstylist for over 40 years, she enjoyed reading and writing. She wrote a romance book that was transcribed into a hardback. She also painted several pieces, which are proudly displayed in the homes of her children.
Wanda was a grateful member of Covenant Fellowship Church. She loved the Lord and wasn’t afraid to let you know it. For many years she enjoyed singing in the choir and sharing the joy in her heart. She had a flair for fashion and many looked forward to see what she would wear next.
Wanda was a beautiful soul, who left a lasting impression on this world. She was not afraid to let you know exactly what was on her mind and she never hesitated to set a wrong – right. She loved dining out, family gatherings, going to the casino with Ralph, holidays and especially Christmas.
Wanda is survived by her son Terry Jameson and wife Brenda Jameson, daughter Sherri Honeysuckle and husband Robert Honeysuckle, daughter Patricia Hadley, nephew Tracy Jameson, grandchildren Meagan Bridgforth, Clint King, Dean Hadley, Heidi Hadley, Ryan Hadley, Brandon Hadley, Meghann Hadley, many great-grandchildren, close loving friend Ralph Baker and the Baker family.
A special thank you to Queen, a loving caregiver, who loved and cared for Wanda up to her final breath. Much gratitude goes out to Heidi Hadley for the nurturing and care she showered Wanda with in her final weeks.
