Virginia Smith

Virginia Rae Nichols smith came into this world on September 27, 1934 and left us peacefully on November 26, 2022. She was the first daughter born to Mildred Arnold and Ray Nichols. She had two sisters, Darlene Ashbrenner and Cindy Baker. She lived in Bromide, California and Oklahoma City while growing up and graduated from Bromide High School.

Virginia and Lowell lived in the same neighborhood in downtown Oklahoma City as kids. They were married on August 14, 1952 and they had 70 happy years together. She had two children, Lowell (Chip) and Kristi who she had the best relationship with and remained best of friends throughout her life. She had three Granddaughters, Kari, Brittny and Suzanne that all thought the world of her. She was equally loved by her daughter in law Raylene and Grandson in Law, Noah and great grandchildren, Marley and Ace.

Virginia was a stay at home Mom while she raised her kids and was always there for them. She was a great wife and partner to Lowell who she took great care of for over 70 years together. She was an excellent cook and homemaker and she got to spend lots of quality time with her Granddaughters while they were growing up.

Virginia was the best wife, Mother, Grandmother, friend and so much more too many. We all have so many great memories with Virginia and she will be missed by many! Virginia’s life will be celebrated on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:00 am at Resthaven Funeral Home (S.W. 104th between Western and Walker).
