Tribute

Victoria Josephine Mongold of Newalla, Oklahoma, passed away on December 25, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years.

Victoria Josephine Mongold was born on March 27, 1946, in Bremerton, Washington. She was the daughter of Jack and Stella (Fell) Biggs. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1964. She went on to study Liberal Arts at the University of Central Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree. Victoria worked as a claims supervisor for twenty-three years retiring in 2002 from Aetna. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was a fabulous cook and could bake any desert with flare. Victoria was an avid reader and enjoyed audio books while driving too. Her number one passion in life was her husband Jerry and she never left his side, these two were attached at the hip. Besides cooking, she could sew, crochet, knit and needlepoint. One of Victoria’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren while showing these children unconditional love. Victoria “retired” but since that day she was a McLoud Chamber office manager, McLoud pioneer librarian, even had a paper route and worked at Thunderbird Casino where she made friends young and old. Victoria is from a generation of working hard but playing just as hard too!

Victoria met Gerald “Jerry” Mongold in 1966 and they married on July 1, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, together they raised four children: Chad, Jackie, Jill and Aaron.

Victoria is survived by her loving husband, Jerry of 54 years; her four children, Jackie Reber and husband Richard, Jill Gregg and husband Chris, and Aaron Mongold; six grandchildren, Brittany Bender and companion Michael, Taylor Reber and wife Shana, Jurnee Gregg, Victoria Reber, Jordan Gregg, and Ava Reber; eight great grandchildren, plus one on the way; Shawn, Ryland, Zoey, Brooklynn, Jessica, Echo, Rae, and Rue.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Eddie; one son, Chad; and her parents, Jack and Stella.
