Tyler “Ty” Jochmans ~ Adventurer, Father, and Friend
Tyler “Ty” Jochmans was born in Claremore on October 18, 1988, the second-child and first son of Kimberly Yost. Ty grew up with his siblings Mallory and Bryan Jochmans. Ty attended Sequoyah High School, graduating in the Class of 2008. He went on to work for the Claremore Post Office and then for FedEx. Ty went on to pursue his lifelong dream of being a hunting guide with WVO (Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma) Outdoors. Ty’s Wild Endeavors was soon born, the perfect avenue for Ty to share his love of hunting and nature with his clients. During his time as a guide Ty worked with MAO Wildlife, Muddy Arrows Outdoors, 4 Amigos Ranch, and worked with Canadian River Ranch in Calvin, Oklahoma at the time of his passing.
Ty lived life with vigor and passion, a love of the little things, and a deep connection with nature. Ty was a caring father and loving brother and son whom left this world far too early when he passed on September 20th, 2021. He will always be remembered for the joy he brought into each room and for his big, infectious smile. Ty’s smile was jovial and life-giving, usually spreading wide across his face after a joke or some light hearted words. It is a grace to us all that his smile lives on in his beautiful son, Denver, whom Tyler loved dearly. If one thing can be said of Ty it’s that he chased and lived his dreams. He was a true adventurer, a hunter and sportsman, from Oklahoma to Arizona all the way to Africa. He took life by the horns and made the most of every hunt and every moment. Ty loved spending time in nature, especially when Denver was able to be there right by his side. We know he will live on in many hearts and memories as both a great man and great guide. ? Tyler is proceeded in death by his Great-grandma Eugenia Thomas, Great-grandparents Harold and Ona Yost and Great-grandfather Keith Golden. Tyler is survived by Kylee Jochmans and son Denver Jochmans, mother Kim Yost, father Eric Jochmans, maternal grandparents Ron “Papa” and Sandra “Mema” Yost, paternal grandparents Claude “Poppy” and Gloria “Granny” Jochmans, great-grandma Jackie Golden, aunts Toni Yost McDavid and Bekah Jochmans,,uncle Aaron Jochmans, brother Bryan (Ashley), sister Mallory (Aaron), sisters Katie and Ella Jochmans. And loving nieces and nephews Madison and Tinsley, Colton, Emmitt, Leighton, Ledger, Lennox and Bowdie. And countless other family members and friends.
