Shirley Jean Webber, age 82, passed away peacefully January 6, 2022 with her two granddaughters by her side. She was born December 11, 1939 in Valliant, Oklahoma to Linnie and Madalee Jacobs. She married her soulmate and love, Jerry Webber, in July of 1956 who preceded her in death in 2016.
Shirley loved to love on people. Her kind, loving, affectionate spirit touched so many hearts and lives throughout her stay here on earth. She deemed the name “Aunt Shirley” to most of those who knew and loved her. She truly had a servant heart.
For many years Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for many businesses around the city and community. Her husband Jerry and son David were her pride and joy. Then later her that joy was added to with her two granddaughters Ericka and Luci, and great grandchildren Corene and Kael. She held many, many talents of cooking and baking, sewing, and decorating. Her infectious smile, style and Grace will live on in all of those that loved her and will miss her dearly.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Jerry Webber, her loving son David Webber, her loving mother Sarah Madalee Mooney and stepfather, Tilford Mooney, her father Linnie Jacobs, and brother Dean Jacobs.
Shirley is survived by her sister and husband Paulette and Ronald Minshall of Oklahoma City, granddaughter and husband Ericka and Drew Costin of Norman, granddaughter and husband Luci and Don Wood of Moore, and her great grandchildren Corene and Kael Vanoni of Norman, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
