Shawn Michael Glass

Shawn Michael Glass passed from this life on June 22, 2022. He was born November 30, 1986 in Windber, PA.
Shawn grew up in Osterburg, PA and attended Chestnut Ridge high school, graduating in 2006. Shawn went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force in 2007. He proudly served for 6 years prior to his honorable discharge in 2013. Shawn met Brooke Metcalf and they were blessed with their son Remington Glass on April 23, 2012. After his time in the military, Shawn later went on to work as a floor hand in the oil field. Shawn met Meghan Diaz on October 19, 2015 and they were blessed with their first daughter, Kimber Glass, on September 24, 2016 and then their second daughter, Oaklynn Glass, on December 27, 2021. Shawn’s children were the light of his life and his ultimate purpose. He adored them and cherished each and every day spent with them.
Shawn was an avid hunter and fisher. He loved being outdoors, cooking out on the grill, cuddling, riding ATVs, and loved playing video games. Above all, he loved laughing and roughhousing with his kids and niece.
He was preceded in passing by his grandmother, Joan Glass; his Pap Elmer Cathers and grandmother, Jessie Cathers; and his Pap Allen Stufft
Those left to continue Shawn’s legacy include the love of his life, Meghan Diaz; his three children, Remington Glass, Kimber Glass, and Oaklynn Glass; parents, James Brian Glass and Judith Lee Glass; brothers, Justin Glass and Jordan Glass; sister, Latishia Acker; his Gram Susan Stufft; nephew, Evan Glass; and nieces, Kali Glass and Kaelyn Glass. Shawn is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles and many extended loving family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
Shawn’s Celebration of Life service is 10:00am, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 in the Chapel at Resthaven, 500 S.W. 104th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73139. The service will be live-streamed for those who would like to attend virtually at www.ResthavenOKC.com. Interment will follow at 2:00pm promptly at Fort Sill National Cemetery, 2648 N.E.
