Scott McCabe

December 8, 1960 ~ March 28, 2024 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Tribute

Scott McCabe entered his Heavenly home March 28, 2024 in Norman, OK. He was born December 8, 1960 in San Pablo, CA to Jimmy and Betty McCabe.
He was a graduate of Moore High School. Scott was a journeyman electrician and was proud to have accomplished that. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved his OU Sooners. He was a hard worker and loved to help those around him. The third time was a charm when he married Stacey Webb on January 16, 2004. They were blessed with their son Nicolas on June 4, 2004. Nicolas was the light of Scott’s life and he loved being Dad to him. After Nicolas’ passing in May 2013, Scott and Stacey’s lives were forever changed. Scott gave his life to Jesus from this tragedy and inspired many others along the way.
Above all, Scott loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather. Those that knew Scott and Stacey together knew that they drove each other crazy some days, but ultimately, they were each other’s rock. Having endured the worst time of their lives together, they were both patient, strong-willed, and truly loved each other with everything they had.
Scott was preceded in passing by his parents, Jimmy and Betty McCabe; his sister, Pam Hosler; and his son, Nicolas McCabe.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Stacey McCabe; his son, Charles Webb and Jessica Smith; his daughter, Amanda Swinney and husband Joshua; brother, Steven McCabe; sister, Paula Benshoof; grandchildren, Taelynn and Madilynn Webb; and he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many loving extended family and friends.
Scott’s Celebration of Life service is 10:00am, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Chapel at Resthaven. Condolences may be shared at www.ResthavenOKC.com.
