Sandra Bodine Smith

Sandra Rose Bodine-Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on October 10, 2020, in Oklahoma City at the age of 65 years.

Sandra Rose Bodine-Smith was born on December 13, 1954, in Belleville, Illinois. She was the daughter of Frank William Lembke Jr., and Josephine Mary (Bann) Lembke, weighing only 3lbs 9.5 ounces she was small enough to fit in her father’s hand. The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1964 and Sandra attended Oklahoma City Public Schools graduating in 1972 from Southeast High School. Following her education she began working at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company retiring after 25 years. In her early years she was a member of the Rainbow Girls while her parents were members of the Eastern Star and Masonic Lodge. In 1977 she had one daughter Tara. On February 14, 2006, she married Rickey Smith and they made their home in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Sunnylane Family Church in Del City. She enjoyed reading, bible studies, coloring, playing candy crush, and loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one uncle, Norman Hall.

She is survived her husband, Rickey Smith of Oklahoma City; one daughter Tara Bodine of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Destiney Bodine, Tanora Bodine, Chloe Doakes, Tyler Calvin and Anthony Doakes Jr.; three great grandchildren, Kenishi Lewis III, Nevaeh Lewis, and Damonte Lewis; one aunt, Rose Hall; host of cousins; friends; and all who loved her.

Family will be at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday, October 16, 2020, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm to greet with friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Frank Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
