Ronald Houdman

Ronald Kent Houdman entered his Heavenly home November 13, 2023. He was born March 24, 1946 in Oklahoma City to August and Ruby Houdman.
Ron graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1965. Immediately after high school, him and his brother Darrel went into the Air Force and proudly served our country from 1966 to 1972. Ron was married to Sandra Houdman. They were blessed with many years of a wonderful marriage prior to Sandra’s passing in October 2016. After serving in the Air Force, Ron went on to work at Safeway where he was a store manager. He worked there for over 20 years before retiring from there.
Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman. Above all, he loved spending time with family.
He was preceded in passing by his loving wife, Sandra Lee Houdman; his parents, August and Ruby Houdman; nephew, Darrel Wyatt, Jr.; as well as one brother and one sister.
Those left to continue his legacy include his son, Clifford Edward Smith; brother, Darrel Wyatt, Sr.; and nieces, Fern Lee Wyatt, LaDora Bell, and Jeannie Gordon. Ron is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends.
Visitation is 4:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services are 10:00am, Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the Chapel at Resthaven. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Condolences may be shared at www.ResthavenOKC.com.
