Robyn Grim

Robyn Renee Grim, 65, of Newcastle, OK passed away on November 21, 2021 at Norman Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Robyn was born in Oklahoma City on September 25, 1956 to Tommy and Judy Taylor. She was full of life and her effervescent personality earned her the childhood nickname “Sunshine”. Robyn graduated from US Grant High School in 1974 and worked in various settings. Of all her roles, her greatest joy was working for Newcastle High School until she retired in 2017.  She loved interacting with students and would always come home with new gossip to discuss with her kids.

Robyn married her first husband, George “Bubba” Cochran, in 1976, and they share a daughter, Lindsey.  She met Charles “Chuck” Grim at Capital Electronics, where they worked at the time, and the two married in 1986. They moved to Newcastle in 1990 to raise Lindsey and their two boys, Cody and Dillon. They were inseparable until Chuck’s death just four months ago.

Robyn is preceded in death by her father, Tommy, and her husband, Chuck.

Robyn is survived by her mother, Judy, daughter, Lindsey, son Cody and his wife Liz, son Dillon, grandchildren Tyler, Clayton, and Oliver, brother Kelly and his wife Darla.
