Roberta (McGough) Bryant was born April 22, 1930 to Robert F. McGough and Nettie (Kimbrough) McGough in Wright City, OK. Roberta stepped into her heavenly home from Oklahoma City, OK on July 4th, 2019 at the age of 89 years and 2 months. Roberta graduated from Wright City High School and Murray State College with an Associates Degree in Home Economics. She met John Bryant when she was a Freshman and he was in his Sophomore year at Murray State College. They were married December 23, 1950 in Tishomingo, OK. Roberta lived most of her life with her husband in Oklahoma City, where she retired from a career as an Accountant and Financial Officer. She enjoyed her retirement years, traveling with her husband, china painting, oil, and water color painting, visiting with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing fun,-filled games of Mexican Train Dominoes with her family and the Southpark JOY Group, and worshipping the Lord with her church family at Southpark Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Surviving Roberta are her two daughters: Pamela (Bryant) Wilburn, her husband Randal Wilburn of Ponca City, OK, and Lauri (Bryant) Smalley, her husband Russell Smalley III of Oklahoma City, OK, four grandchildren: Shawn Smalley, his wife Becky Smalley of Oklahoma City, Abigail Wilburn of Oklahoma City, OK, Russell Smalley IV, his wife Brandee of Edmond, OK and Charis (Wilburn) Walker, her husband Robert Walker, three great grandchildren: Ajay Smalley, Claire Smalley and Liam Smalley of Oklahoma City. Preceding Roberta in death are her husband, John D Bryant, Jr., her parents, Robert F. McGough, Nettie McGough, step-mother Dorothy McGough and three brothers; Andrew F. McGough, Orion McGough and Albert (Sam) McGough. A celebration of Roberta’s life will be held at Southpark Baptist Church on Saturday, July 13th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
