Robert M Donaldson

Robert “Bob” Donaldson, age 82, passed peacefully on Saturday December 29th 2018 surrounded by family which loved him dearly.  He was born at home in Maud Oklahoma on January 3rd 1936 to Elsie Marie Newton and Woodrow Wilson Donaldson, he was the second of 4 boys.  Bob met Dorothy Cramer while attending college at the University of Oklahoma.  Bob asked Dorothy to marry him at a restaurant in Oklahoma City and the next morning the restaurant was in the newspaper and it had burned to the ground – wow what a hot engagement!  They married on August 22, 1958 and their marriage continued for over 60 years.  Bob became a Civil Engineer and later worked as an Aeronautical Engineer at The Federal Aviation Administration.  Dorothy had her sights set on becoming a Journalist but delayed her education to have children and become the wife she wanted to be.  Dorothy retired from Tinker Air Force base serving is Secretarial positions for Generals.  Robert is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy Donaldson who took care of him in their home of over 40 years as his Dementia progressed. 
Bob and Dorothy had three Children.  Their oldest is Sharon Slover who is married to Kenneth Slover. 
Sharon is the mother of three of Bob’s 5 grand-children Krista Wiggins who is married to Chad Wiggins, Daniel Draper who is married to Heather Draper, and Erica Webster who is married to Cody Webster.  Bob is the proud great grandfather of three boys Jaran Wiggins, Jamisen Draper and Garrisen Draper. 
Bob and Dorothy’s second child is Mark Donaldson who is married to Robin Donaldson who met at Southern Hills Baptist Church.  Their youngest Child is Nancy Cordell who is the proud mother of grand- sons Michael Cordell and Daniel Cordell.
Bob is also survived by his brother Paul Donaldson who is married to Judy Donaldson.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of musically inclined faithful family members who will miss him a great deal.
