After 82 years of a life well lived, Richard Allen Scott went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 5, 2021. He was born August 12, 1939 in Chandler, Oklahoma. Richard attended U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. He met his future wife Glenna Jean Madden while working at the Chieftain Theatre in Capital Hill as the projector man. Richard and Glenna were blessed with 58 years of a wonderful marriage prior to Glenna’s passing on December 9, 2017. After high school, Richard served two years in the United States Air Force. He then pursued a career as a truck driver, and ultimately found his true passion for upholstery. He was an upholsterer for over 30 years, specializing in automobile and aircraft. Richard’s hobbies included fishing and at one point in time, he loved bowling as well. In addition, he was an avid OU Fan and loved cheering on his Sooners! He was preceded in passing by his loving wife, Glenna Scott; and daughter, Lisa Scott. Those left to continue his legacy include his children, Rebecca Hudson and husband Paul, Vickie Scott and fiancé Scott Hoefert, and Richard Allen Scott, Jr; grandchildren, Bradley Marcum and wife Illeah, Scotty Marcum, Jr. and wife Ashley, Robert Marcum, Shelly Badgett and wife Mary, Colton Scott and fiancé Robin Harris, and Bailey Scott and fiancé Noah Merrell; great grandchildren, Astryd Marcum, Sophia Marcum, Lillian Marcum, Noah Marcum, Kristina Figueroa and husband Carlos, Christopher Mallory, Finn Merrell, and Andrea Gratol; and brother, Earl Wayne Scott and wife Lisa. Visitation for Richard is 1:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday November 9, 2021 and Wednesday November 10, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services are 2:00pm, Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church, 1224 S.W. 53rd St. Oklahoma City, OK 73109. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
