Richard Meininger

Richard Dean (Dick) Meininger age 82 of Moore, Oklahoma passed away on February 29th, 2020 in Moore.  
Richard was born in Mitchell, Nebraska to John and Millie (Hartwig) Meininger on May 3rd, 1937 he was the 7th of 13 children. He graduated from high school in Grand Island, Nebraska in 1955. He went on to earn a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado in 1964.  He worked for EG&G at the Nevada test site, in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the Minuteman Missile System and in Idaho with Geothermal testing. In 1985 he began working at Three Mile Island in Pennsylvania and later went on to start his own company CHAR, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, reading, traveling and collecting antiques.  
Richard is survived by his wife Mary Meininger, grandchildren Laurel, Sam, Olivia Hughes, Devin Ream and Megan Diaz and siblings Delores Kurz, Betty Bryant, Roger Meininger, Yvonne Gracia, Carol Meininger, Phillip Meininger, Cheryl Meininger and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Kent Meininger, and siblings Johnnie, Marvin, Roland, Gorden Meininger and Margaret Church
Funeral services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on March 7th at 2 pm with reception following.
