Richard Lee McFarland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Lee McFarland of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Richard passed away at the age of 82 on May 16, 2023. He was born January 9, 1941 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Lee and Mabel McFarland. In 1960, Richard joined the United States Air Force and became a Fuel Spec Airman, he left the Air force in 1964.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia McFarland of Oklahoma City, OK; son Timothy McFarland and his wife Dori of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Tammy Ragland and her husband Randy of Springfield, MO; daughter, Robin Ruf and her husband Donald of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Mary Phillips of Stroud, OK; followed by 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Lee McFarland; mother, Mabel McFarland; Sister Shirley Miller; and Brother Floyd McFarland.

Richard’s life will be celebrated with funeral services at 2:00p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Viewing will be from 1:00pm. – 4:00p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Resthaven Funeral Home.
