Oklahoma City resident Raymond A. Naney, 86, passed away April 30, 2022, at his care center in Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Naney was born in Turrell, Arkansas on July 23, 1935 to Henry and Iona Mae Naney.
Raymond was a determined and successful man in every aspect of his life. At a young age he assisted his family harvesting crops at his grandfather’s farm. After high school Raymond enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Crypto Operator. During his 10 year career in the Air Force Raymond served in the Philippines as well as in Pakistan. He ended his Air Force Career at Tinker Air Force Base in 1965. He was also the first person to graduate college in his family. Raymond was married to Mary Haby-Naney for 56 years until her passing in 2018.
He is survived by his son David Naney and wife Taffy, daughter Wanda Cook and husband Marlon, and son Richard Naney and his wife Tonya. Grandkids Alex Naney, Joseph Naney, Dana McDowell, Dewey Taylor, Marlon Cook Jr, Melissa Denton, Rhyanna Cook, Michael Cook, Taylor Gallagher, Haley Gallagher, Colin Naney, 21 Great Grandkids, 2 Great great Grandkids.
