Rassey Steven Barefoot of Tulsa, Oklahoma, on May 7, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 67 years.

Rassey Steven Barefoot was born on October 30, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Jesse R. and Neva (George) Barefoot. He grew up in Oklahoma City attending Oklahoma City Public Schools graduating from Southeast High School Spartans 1972. Following his education, he entered the United States Navy during Vietnam serving on the USS Haleakala Ship reaching an E-5 level. Following his discharge he married Donna Milleson in May of 1977 making their home in Oklahoma City, they had three children, Carma, Dan, and William. He followed his father’s footsteps and began his career working for Southwestern Bell from November 1977 as cable splicer and retiring in October 2003 as a manager of network engineering. Rassey met and married Kendell (Chew) McGinty on December 27, 2002, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and they made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He later began working Nordam in Tulsa in wiring department retiring in 2019. Rassey also served as the head umpire at the ball fields in Moore, Oklahoma, for many years. He golfing, OU Football, and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Kendall Barefoot of Tulsa; two sons, Dan Barefoot and wife Amy of Oklahoma City, William Barefoot of Ohio; one daughter, Carma Jedele and husband Tony of Yukon, Oklahoma; one step-son, Jaime Moback and wife Tetsuko of Bixby, Oklahoma; and one step-daughter, Christy Young and husband Jeff of Skiatook, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; sister, Ginger Lilley and husband David of Stillwater; one niece, Jamie; one nephew, Cale; seven great nieces and nephews; and one great great niece.
