Tribute

Peggy Ann (Duckett) Halliburton known to many as “Anna Mae” was born November 12, 1955 in Memphis, Tennessee to Pandora Duckett and Percy Jackson.
Peggy was an avid reader and always had a love for history and cooking. She was the family “historian” as she had remembered all significant events in her very large family’s history down to the smallest details. She loved the holidays and especially cooking, Peggy’s Memphis Style Bar-B-Que and signature spaghetti was legendary. After retiring, from careers in hospitality, nursing, and as part owner of her beloved Crown Liquors, she became a fulltime grandmother and moved to Oklahoma.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father, Percy Jackson; grandsons Paul Joseph Duckett and Nakia Vashon Halliburton and she kept a special prayer for her mother, Pandora Duckett who went missing from her sight but never from her heart.
Peggy departed this life and into the hands of God on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Peggy leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Suntrice Duckett-Gladney of Baltimore, Maryland; Kristy (Royce) Pipkin-Liston of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and son, Nakia Vashon Halliburton of Memphis, Tennessee; granddaughters, Aleta MyQuaile Pipkin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Nastassja Syncere Halliburton of Memphis, Tennessee; and grandson, Xavier Vashon Halliburton of Memphis, Tennessee.
