Paul Wesley Moody, 86, passed from this life December 6, 2018. He was born November 11, 1932 in Fort Worth, TX to John and Ethel Moody. Paul graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from TCU. Paul served his country in the US Army from 1955-1957. He worked in retail for many years, employed by both Robert Hall Clothing and TG&Y. Later, he worked as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance. After 15 years, he retired and began substitute teaching for Oklahoma City Public Schools.

Paul was active in his church and various civic organizations. He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church for more than 45 years, where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School. He was a Gideon, a member of Kiwanis and a member of the Christian Business Men’s Connection. He also served as commissioner for the ABLE Commission, and as a board member for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Patsy Jack.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: beloved wife, Dana Moody; children, Mark Moody and wife Kathy, Shelley Fluke and husband John, and Lynn Maclin and husband Tom; 9 grandchildren; 17 grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister, Ann Rutherford; and brother, Ronnie Moody.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5-7pm. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held 10am Monday, at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
