Paul Montgomery, 89, passed from this life May 10, 2017 and is now with our Lord in heaven. He was born January 21, 1928 in Earlsboro, OK to George Montgomery and Nellie Walker. Paul attended Wheeler Grade School, Capitol Hill Junior High, and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during the Japanese occupation in WWII. Upon returning to the states, Paul worked at Tinker AFB and his unit was activated into the Strategic Air Command and received an honorable discharge. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers and Scientists. He was an air safety investigator and retired as a section leader. Paul and Dolores enjoyed many years of retirement, RV-ing all over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. As snowbirds, they had many friends at Casa Del Sol resort in Donna, Texas and looked forward to all the activities and events before Dolores passed in 2013.


Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dolores Montgomery; his brothers, Fred, Leo, and Earl; and sister, Marie.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: son, Roger Montgomery and wife Jan; daughter PA Paula Kowalski and husband Dr. Mark Kowalski; grandsons: Andrew and Matthew Kowalski; granddaughters: Michelle Key and Laura Philbin; and 3 great grandsons.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 15 from 12pm-8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Paul's celebration of life will be held 2pm Tuesday, May 16 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
