Rick Hoegger

October 7, 1952 ~ August 24, 2020 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Tribute

Patrick Kelly Hoegger was born in Oklahoma City on October 7th, 1952 to Kelly and Beverly Hoegger and died August 24th 2020.  His family moved to Pueblo, CO when he was a young child, before returning to Oklahoma City when he was 8. He attended private Catholic schools for many years before graduating from Capitol Hill High School in 1971 . Rick met his beloved wife Pam when he was 13 years old. They married in 1972 and had their son Jeremy in 73. Then came daughter Hillary in 81. They loved each other, their kids and their families dearly and loved to travel anywhere with beaches and sun!

Rick worked as an oil mechanic until he started his own oilfield company, Production Engine and Pump, with partner Chris, in 1981. He was a very successful business man, great husband, wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed golfing and loved watching basketball and football. He was a man of few words, but the biggest giver with the most massive heart. He was a humble man and did his giving privately. He was not boastful or arrogant, never talking about himself or his accomplishments, always asking about others, but he did enjoy very nice things. He had a plethora of very expensive Indian Artwork that he was proud of and would talk to anyone about it that would listen. When he ran out of room in his own home he started putting it in his son and daughters homes. He loved to rough house with his grandsons and love on his granddaughters and kept his dry sense of humor through the good times and the bad.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, Doc and Mark Hoegger and sister, Kelly Dearneal. He is survived by his loving wife of over 48 years, his son Jeremy Hoegger (wife Bridgett), daughter Hillary Henley (husband Jeremy), 6 grandchildren- Taylor Evans, Mckenzie and Kennedy Hoegger and Judah, Silas and Lydia Henley, one great granddaughter, Hazel Love, 4 sisters and 3 brother-in-laws,  Paula and Tom Howell, Lorraine and Ray Smoot, Tracy and John Forsythe, and Beverly Hoegger, 1 brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Jane Hoegger and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Accentra Hospice staff, his granddaughter, Mckenzie, as well as his sisters for playing such a vital role in assisting the immediate family in his care.
