Otis C. Freeman found peace on May 15, 2023. He was born July 28, 1944, in Goodwater, Oklahoma to Otis and Nora Freeman, who predeceased him along with his brothers James, David, Buel, and Johnny.
Otis attended high school at Brawley High School in Brawley California, where he lived until graduating in 1962. He then went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from the University of Central Oklahoma. On October 7, 1977, he married the love of his life, Shanon Arden, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years.
Otis proudly served his country in the Unites States Navy. In his youth, he had a passion for flying and earned his flight instructor’s license. His drive and determination lead him to a career as a Radar Engineer for the FAA from which he retired in 2001. In addition, he loved golfing and enjoyed sailboats.
Otis’ light and love live on through his caring wife, Shanon Freeman, and his children: Stephanie Tompkins (Jeff), Shannon Hock (Brian), Rachael Willis (Ryan), and Ann Butler (Scott). Each of whom are profoundly proud of the man he was and the memories and lessons he gave to each of them. He is also survived by sister Sue Noblitt (Jerry) and six beloved grandchildren.
