Nettie Bea Thompson

Nettie Bea Thompson entered her Heavenly home on January 11, 2022. She was born August 26, 1924 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Clifford and Eva Belding.
Nettie grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School. She worked as an office manager and nursing assistant for over 30 years and also worked at South Community Hospital for a number of years as an admitting clerk. Nettie and her husband LaVerne were charter members of Rancho Village Baptist Church and one of Nettie’s greatest joys was teaching Sunday School there, which she did for nearly 50 years.
Nettie was an avid OU fan and loved cheering on her Sooners in football. Above all, she adored her children and grandchildren and especially loved hosting slumber parties with all of them.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Clifford and Eva Belding; loving husband, LaVerne Thompson; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Thompson; sister, Nelda Beth Ledbetter; and brother, Edward Rhea Belding.
Those left to continue her legacy include her children, LaDonna Adair and husband Brian, Larry Thompson and wife Cynthia, Lana Odom and husband James, and Randy Thompson; grandchildren, Brent Adair, Heather Willoughby, Christopher Adair, Ami Taylor Royle, Jennifer Jones, Chance Wallenberg, Stacy Cure, and Chad Thompson; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces, Kary Ledbetter and Kathy Weisberg; and nephew, Donald Ledbetter.
