Nadine Marie Schroeder passed from this life September 12, 2019 at the age of 96. She was born August 31, 1923 in Three Sands, OK to Walter Lee Bass and Amealia Ann Bass (Akers).
Nadine was a graduate of Duncan High School. After high school, she married the love of her life, Ben E. Schroeder. From this marriage they were blessed with four children. Nadine worked as a homemaker, but was also the bookkeeper for their construction business.
Nadine was a member of First Christian Church of Moore. She was also very active in the Order of the Eastern Star. Her favorite hobby was playing bingo. She also enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, and making jewelry. Above all, Nadine adored her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a true servant’s heart and lived to serve those around her. Nadine strived to take care of her friends who lived at the nursing home with her, taking them their coffee and anything else she thought they’d like.
She was preceded in passing by her loving husband, Ben E. Schroeder; parents, Walter Lee and Amealia Ann Bass; son, Terry Gene Schroeder, Sr. and wife Paulette; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Thompson; great-grandson, Matthew Allan Hascall; brother, Kenneth Glenn Bass and wife June; son-in-law, George Frank; grandson-in-law, Allan Ray Hascall.
Survivors include her son, George Schroeder and wife Terry; daughters, Linda Frank and Beverly Engles; grandchildren, Carol Dillingham and husband Matt, Angie Funderburgh and husband Klayton, Spencer Schroeder and wife Juli, Tami Rodgers and husband David, Doug Ryan, Lora Hansen and husband Albert, Michelle Wilkerson and husband Dave, Robbie Engles and wife Alisha, Rebecca Clyma and husband Chris, TJ Schroeder and wife Robin; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Kotten, Kenley, Kora, Kannon, Cutler, Cale, Caisyn, Camryn, Nicole and Josh, Kimberly and husband Stephen, Doug, Ben and wife Minh, Gabby, Staci and husband Dust’n, Wesley, Trevor, Cody, Brady, Kayla and husband Kory, Casey, Kerstin, Lane, Dalton, and Ben; great-great grandchildren, Blaze, Bella, and Tearanie; brother, Lee Bass and wife Barbara; and sister, Jenny Wooten and husband Tom. Nadine is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Visitation for Nadine is 3:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 SW 104th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73139. Services are 10:00am, Monday, September 16, 2019 at First Christian Church of Moore, 629 NW 12th St. Moore, OK 73160. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
