Mitchell Linn Wilkerson was the son of Matha (Stie) Wilkerson and Ronald Wilkerson. His father was from Atwood, Oklahoma. His father had enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard after the Korean War. Afterwards his father had received his degree in chemistry from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Wilkerson’s mother is from Millcreek, Oklahoma.

After high school his parents had married on December 22, 1956. Once she was married Mr. Wilkerson’s mother went back to East Central University, in Ada, Oklahoma to obtain her degree in accounting.

Mitchell or Mitch as everyone knew him was born on November 24, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He grew up in Moore, Oklahoma where he graduated from high school in 1979. After graduating high school Mitch continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, obtaining a degree in accounting. He then worked for numerous companies in the Oil and Gas Industry in the state.

Visitaiton will be held 11am-8pm Monday, and 8am-8pm Tuesday.

A celebration of Mitchell's life will be held 10am Wednesday, February 21 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
