Millie Lynn Shrader, 77, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on August 10, 2019. She was born in Bell, CA to Carl and Gwendolyn Freeman.
On May 15, 1959, Millie married William “Bill” Shrader. He joined the US Navy and together they traveled many places and touched many lives.
Millie was blessed with 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She retired as a hairdresser and enjoyed sewing, crochet, playing the piano, gardening, and much more. She also took pride in serving as a Sunday School teacher and Cub Scout Den Mother.
Millie loved the Lord from the depths of her heart and will be greatly missed. Her memory will always be engraved in her family and all the lives she touched.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jimmy and Carl Freeman.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: beloved husband of 60 years, Bill Shrader; children, Carri Lynn Parks and husband Michael of McAlester, Sonja Renee Fowler and husband Ricky of Moore, and Mark Shrader and Brenda Callahan of McAlester; grandchildren: Jayne Renee Sternlof and husband Steven, Tandy Rae Burnett, Taryn Rae Kelley, and Teal Charmagne Fowler-Hightower; 12 great grandchildren: Lane Gage Womack, Coltyn Daniel Wayne Harrison, Payton Ryleigh Nicole Harrison, Hayleigh Grace Renee Harrison, Keeleigh Lynn Johnson, Kayla Jane Johnson, Adrein Scott Kelley, Kameron Alexander Fowler-Trevillison, Scarlette Rose Kelley, Sylas James Kelley, Chanlee Charmagne Fowler-Hightower, and Alaina Grace Hightower; brothers, Phillip Freeman and wife Lisa of Houston, TX, and Terry Freeman and wife JoAnn of San Jose, CA; sister in law, Ginger Hite and husband Ed of Austin, TX; and her four-legged furry child, Molly.
Visitation will be held 4-8pm Thursday, August 15 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will be held 10am Friday, August 16 at Wilmont Place Baptist Church.
