Michael Gerald Greenlee entered his Heavenly home on January 9, 2021. He was born September 24, 1958 in Oklahoma City to Kenneth and Annie Greenlee (Meziere).
Michael grew up in Bethany and graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1976. He began working for General Motors in 1979, ultimately retiring from there in May 2006 after twenty-eight years of service. After retiring from GM he worked at Broadmoore Golf Course for fourteen years.
Michael’s passion was golfing and he found great joy in it. In addition, he and Sonja loved traveling, taking cruises, and visiting different beaches. Above all, Michael cherished his family and absolutely adored his grandchildren.
He was preceded in passing by his father, Kenneth Greenlee; brother, Danny Greenlee; and sister, Cindy Greenlee.
Those left to continue his legacy include his loving wife, Sonja Greenlee; mother, Annie Greenlee; his children, Kimberly Greenlee and husband Johnny Blassingame, Daniel Greenlee and Kaleigh, and Sarah Lons and husband Russell; grandchildren, Wyatt Blassingame, Lucas Blassingame, Kylie Greenlee, Ty Greenlee, Grayson Greenlee, Briannah Lons, and Braden Lons; and sisters, Debbie Thompson and husband David, Kathy Powers, and Mary Rutz.
Visitation for Michael is 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services are 10:00am, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Chapel at Resthaven. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and precautions, family and very close friends are invited to physically attend the service, while all others are encouraged to attend the service via live stream for everyone’s safety. Graveside services will take place at Resthaven Memory Gardens at approximately 11:00am following the service, where all family and friends are welcome to attend.
