Mary Jane McWilliams Kelly, 82 passed away on March 22, 2018 in Edmond, OK, after a battle with brain cancer. Mary Jane was born on June 17, 1935 to Harry Frances and Alma Gertrude (Connelly) McWilliams in Westwood (Pittsburgh) Suburb), Pennsylvania. She entered into the banking industry at 16 (part time until graduation, then full time) for Colonial Trust in Pittsburgh, which later became Pittsburgh National Bank. On December 11, 1969, after re-meeting her high school classmate Jim Kelly, they married. Jim and Mary Jane moved, along with their children, Terri and Bruce Hindes, to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. After relocating to Oklahoma Mary Jane went to work for First National Bank of Midwest City, later moving on to NCR Corp. After 10 years with NCR, she struck out on her own. She formed Kelly Banking Services, Inc. and Kelly Banking Supplies, Inc, April 20, 1990. Thus taking her to banks all over the USA and many other countries, programming, training, and supporting equipment in the back rooms of the banking area. Mary Jane enjoyed people and involvement, staying on top of responsibilities. She will be remembered as a loving wife to James E. Kelly, loving and caring mother to Rob Hindes, Terri Hindes Stanley and husband Keith, Bruce Hindes and wife Silvia. She will be remembered as Gamma to her eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Sister in law, Merle English and a Niece Barbar Ann McWilliams Stewart (Walt), nephews Mark McWilliams and George English, which includes their children. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Harry Connelly McWilliams. Mary Jane loved and cared about her friends, military and her church. She loved to “zing you” when least expected. She would want you to know, don’t miss me, because I am here with you, watching and protecting you. Services to celebrate Mary Jane’s life will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Highland Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Monday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
