Be the first to offer your condolences on Mary's Tribute Wall
Mary Louise Cobb, 97, of Mustang, went to her eternal home on May 24, 2023. Mary was born on December 9, 1925, to Alonzo and Edith (Brown) Wells in Davenport, OK. She was the oldest of three daughters. Mary graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1943. Mary married Richard Wodraska after graduating from high school and they had four children before Richard passed away in 1955. In 1958, Mary married William “Buddy” Cobb. They had one son. Mary and Buddy were married for 55 years. Mary worked as the secretary for the family business, Cobb Electric, for over 40 years before retiring in 2006. Mary enjoyed going deer hunting with Buddy to Wyoming for many years. Out of all the men Mary hunted with, she held the record for shooting the largest buck for many years, which she displayed with pride in their home. Mary and Buddy were very involved in the India Shrine and the Oriental Band. She was the seamstress for the band, hand-sewing and altering most of their costumes. Over the years, they enjoyed traveling to many parades with the band. They did a lot of traveling and went on a great number of cruises with their friends to the Caribbean. Mary was an avid Sooner fan holding season football tickets for many years. She and Buddy traveled to attend various bowl and championship games. She loved her Sooners and very seldom missed a game whether in person or on TV. Mary was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church in south Oklahoma City from 1950 until they closed their doors in 2019. Mary enjoyed singing in the choir over the years and volunteered with the teen group. Mary loved her children more than life, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She took them on many camping trips in their RV from Oklahoma to Arkansas and New Mexico. They went to Disney World and on several cruises. Mary would do anything for her grandkids. Mary is survived by her five children: Charles Wodraska, Eddie (& Vicki) Wodraska, Robert Wodraska of Oklahoma City, DiAnna Wodraska and Billy (& Tammy) Cobb of Mustang, eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one sister. She was preceded in death by one brother, her parents, one sister and her husband. Mary’s life will be celebrated with graveside services at 10:00a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Those in attendance are invited to lunch following the services at the home of Billy and Tammy Cobb, 2235 E. Pleasantview Lane, Mustang, OK 73064.
