Marlene Harwell

Edna “Marlene” Harwell entered her Heavenly home on November 17, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born July 4, 1939 in Paden, Oklahoma to Floyd McPherson Seaton and Edna Mae Seaton.
Marlene grew up in Capitol Hill and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. She married Dennis Treat in 1953 and from this marriage they were blessed with three children. Marlene later married Nelson Cresente, and then eventually wed Bill Harwell.
Marlene loved music. She spent many years as a pastor’s wife and worked in the missionary field, spending a lot of that time in Uruguay. She became fluent in Spanish and was an excellent piano player. She loved music ministry and it was her passion to serve others in that way. In addition, Marlene had quite the ‘Green Thumb’ and was amazing at caring for her various plants.
She was preceded in passing by her son, Terry Don Treat; parents, Floyd and Edna Seaton; husbands, Dennis Treat and Bill Harwell; as well as a sister and two brothers.
Marlene is survived by her son, Dennis Mark Treat; daughter, Jan Patrice Joule and husband Steven; grandchildren, Shawn Treat, Brad Hein, Emily Noah and husband Chad, Brittany Joule, Cindy Joule, and Katarina Joule; great-grandchildren, Graycee Roundtree, Celeste Duenas, Lupita Duenas, Gabriel Treat, Serenity Treat, Maddyx Bergner, Crosby Noah, Evangeline Noah, Creek Noah, Anastasia Joule, and Jasper Joule; and sister-in-law, Patricia Brever.
Visitation for Marlene is 4:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, November 19, 2021 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services are 10:30am, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Chapel at Resthaven. The service will be livestreamed at www.ResthavenOKC.com/Tributes. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
