Joyce Routh

March 20, 2018 brought to a close 81 years of a life well lived for Margaret Joyce Routh. She was born to Viola (Loman) and Earnie Cooper in McLoud, Oklahoma. Joyce was a lifelong daddy’s girl, who loved family and enjoyed spending time with them. A beautician by trade, Joyce had a beauty shop at the house and her children recall mom up bright and early doing hair and sharing all the latest gossip. Joyce always made sure her hair and makeup were on just right, and loved getting all fancied up. In her younger years the family would travel to Lake Texoma and Joyce would fish for crappie to her hearts content. She loved being outdoors and enjoying all that nature had to offer, even waterskiing. Joyce was in a bowling league for a time and liked playing bingo. She was an avid OU Sooners fan and she loved the Oklahoma Thunder!!
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Earnie and Viola Cooper; and husband, Eddie F. Routh.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Pam Ward; son, Chuck Routh and wife Nancy; grandchildren, Aaron Ward, Stephanie Ward, Edward F. Routh and Courtney Childress, Amy Perth, Rusty Routh and Rhiannon Routh; great-grandchildren, Colby Routh, Eli Routh, Ethan Routh, Racer Routh, Anabelle Routh, Tanner Ward, Lillyonna Lulla and Ella Ward.
Services to celebrate Joyce’s life will be 2:00pm Monday, March 26, 2018 in The Chapel at Resthaven.
