Margaret Buchanan

Margaret Ann Buchanan “Midge”, passed from this life December 29, 2019 in Oklahoma City. She was born January 30, 1940 in Tupelo, Oklahoma to Henry Gore and Ollie Gore (Peak).
After graduated high school in Tupelo, Midge went on to start her family. She married the love of her life, Thomas Stanley Buchanan, on March 8, 1969. They were blessed with over 38 years of a wonderful marriage before Stanley’s passing on September 10, 2007.
Margaret’s hobbies included gardening, playing dominos, cooking, and playing her favorite machines at the casino. Above all, Midge loved her family and greatly enjoyed cooking for them and spending time with them.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Henry Gore and Ollie Gore (Peak); loving husband, Thomas Stanley Buchanan; sister, Ellen Shirley; and brothers, Darvin Gore (Pete), John Gore (Red), Billy Gore, Melvin Gore (Dokey), and Otis Gore (Hoover).

Survivors include her children, Patsy Wise and husband Charles, Larry Buchanan and wife Julie, Ricky Buchanan and wife Paula, James Buchanan and wife Paula, Steve Buchanan and wife Melissa; brother, Jim Gore; and sister, Juanita Carnell and husband Larry. Sixteen grandkids and Fourteen great grandkids. She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Visitation is 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 SW 104th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73139. Services are 2:00pm, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the Chapel at Resthaven. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
