Mamie Anderson

Mamie Jo Anderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on April 18, 2021, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 90 years.

Mamie Jo was born in Nashoba, Oklahoma, on November 5, 1930, to Louis Scarberry and Martha Cossey. Mamie attended Nashoba public schools while growing up.When she was eighteen, she married the love of her life, Charles Anderson on November 24, 1948, in Mena, Arkansas. Once Charles was discharged from the United States Army, they made their home in Oklahoma City, and had three children.
Mamie spent her time as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, cooking, taking care of others and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Louis and Martha Scarberry; husband, Charles Anderson; brothers, Emmitt, M.L, Tony, and L.J Scarberry; and sisters, Bessie Wallace and Wanda Sisk.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three children and their spouses, Charles Lewis Anderson, Duwanna and Micheal Schane , and Joy and Richard Ward. Grandchildren, Michael and Shara Schane, Darren Schane, Stacy and Marc Brown, Melissa Anderson, Charla Anderson, Amy and Steven Boxford. Great-grandchildren, Victoria Schane, Mikayla Schane, Quentin Schane, Zachariah Schane, Ace Brown, Rex Brown, Payten Beard, Hunter Beard, Alli Boxford and Landon Boxford; and one brother, Kenneth Scarberry.
