Lydia Ann Gonzales Benson passed away in Oklahoma City, OK on Monday, May 11, 2020, at the age of 62.

Lydia was born February 27, 1958, in Oklahoma City, OK and was a lifelong Oklahoma resident. She worked for more than 35 years as a professional hairstylist, making many out of state trips in order to hone her craft and passion.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ezekiel Gonzales; brother, E.J. Gonzales; daughter, Misti Holton; along with her grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles and her special blue heeler, Izzy.

Lydia is survived by and will be forever remembered by her mother, Luz Jaime; husband Brett Benson of 29 years; two surviving children, Bryan Benson and Windi Holton Riggs and son-in-law Zakari Riggs; four grandchildren, Landon Jesus Grant, 14, Nation Star, 5, Kennedy Lou Ann, 4, and Reagan Fay Dawn, 4. Lydia will also be forever remembered by her numerous friends and large extended family.

Visitation and viewing will be held between 2 p.m. - 7 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at Resthaven Funeral Home located at 500 SW 104th, Oklahoma City, OK.
