Luther W. Hall, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the age of 97. Luther was a well-respected man, friend to all, and dearly loved by his family. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 30 at 3pm at Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Visitation will be Friday, June 29 from 1-8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City. Luther was born on July 2, 1920, to William and Flora Hall in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Navy and Reserves for 30 years and achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Luther saw military combat in WWII, the Korean, and Vietnam Wars. Following his military career, Luther worked in the operation and sales of road building equipment with CMI. He retired from CMI and went to work for GTE American Mine Tool. Through his various careers, Luther had the opportunity to travel the world. He enjoyed traveling, playing poker with his buddies, Oklahoma football, and spending time with his family. Luther is preceded in death by his parents William and Flora Bell (Massey) Hall, beloved wife Jewel, his brothers Charles Hall, Robert Hall, and Andrew Hall, his sisters Nora Weber, and Ruth Moore, his son Larry Hall, and his daughters Glenda Benkurt, and Judy Young McNair. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Alice Ward of Moore, Oklahoma, and Ora Nixon of Woodlands, Texas, grandchildren Tianne Bradley, Bobby Mansell, Douglas Rogers, Deniese Lee, Rocco Trgnaghi, Jeff Hall, Greg Hall, and Ryan Hall, and their families, twelve great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren. Luther leaves a legacy of strength, courage, hard work, and loyalty, along with joyous memories his family and friends will cherish always. Pallbearers will be Jeff Hall, Greg Hall, Ryan Hall, Joshua Hall, Brantlee Wells, Alex Adamson, Bobby Mansell, and Wayne Ward. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home with Chaplain Johnny Wray presiding.
