Loveanna Pearl Rolland

April 24, 1931 ~ April 29, 2018 (age 87) 87 Years Old

Tribute

Loveanna Pearl (Ray) Rolland went home to be with her Lord and Savior on the 29th of April 2018 at the age of 87. Loveanna was born on April 24, 1931 to David and Pearle (Love) Ray in Oklahoma City. The eldest of five children, she grew up in Oklahoma City and Laverne, and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1948. On July 1, 1949, she married Arlis “Jack” Rolland, which began 59 beautiful years of marriage until Jack’s passing in 2009. Throughout her life she worked as an invoice pricer for CH Trice Electronics, a daycare teacher, and in the cafeteria at Prairie Queen Elementary; she also faithfully served in the church nursery and children’s ministry of various Baptist churches throughout the years. Her greatest joy came from loving and serving the Lord, reading her Bible, and spending time with her family. She always had a kind and loving word for all she met and could share a scripture verse of encouragement for any occasion. Loveanna’s legacy will be carried on by her loving family, her daughter Barbara Boydstun and husband Bob, daughter-in-law Deborah Rolland, son-in-law Jim Pritchard, sister Lavada Rothe, brother Larry Ray; grandchildren: Robin Pritchard, Julie LaFollette and husband Rob, Justin Rolland and wife Shelly, Jarod Rolland and wife Kamee, Brian Boydstun and wife Chrissy, Brittany Frymire and husband Matt, and Brad Boydstun and wife Kristie, ten great-grandchildren: Anna & Ethan LaFollette, Allison Rolland, Breck Boydstun, Wake & Steele Frymire, Paxton & Jayce Rolland, and Annika & Raylee Boydstun. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, daughter Kathleen (Rolland) Pritchard, son Gregory Rolland, and brothers Avid and Gary Ray. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Somerset Neighborhood, Frontier Hospice and Sooner Medical Transport for the wonderful care they have given to Loveanna.

A celebration of Loveanna’s life will be held at 10AM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Chapel at Resthaven. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8PM on Thursday.
