Lois E. Avants

Lois E. Avants, 89 passed away Saturday November 14, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.

Lois E. Avants was born June 2, 1931, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Russell and Mary (Hauf) Kiggins. She was united in marriage to Jack Avants on March 27, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after falling in love with him in High School. Lois spent most of her life as a wife and mother, but spent a lot of years as a Real Estate Agent in Des Moines, Iowa. Her hobbies included attending church, feeding people, baking and crocheting. She loved a good card game with friends. Her family will surely miss her every day.

Lois is survived by a son, Michael Avants of Springfield, Missouri, four daughters, Vicki Avants of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Mary Avants of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tina Dobberthein (Joseph) of Chariton, Iowa, Sherri Sauter (Scott) of West Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Carolyn in 1983; one grandson, Blake in 1987; and one granddaughter, Shelly in 1991.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at 2:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home with internment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens next to her husband Jack.
