Linda Ann Routen 71, of Moore Oklahoma, passed away April 23, 2018 in Houston Texas. Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City on April 29th, 2018 from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on May 1, 2018 at 2:00pm with Pastor Don Demeter of Grace Community Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Linda was born in Kansas City to Kenneth and Annabelle Routen on September 5, 1946. She went to high school at Capitol Hill High School and graduated in 1964. She went on to marry Claude Henderson of Oklahoma City the couple welcomed four children into the world before divorcing in 1989. Linda’s favorite part of life was being a mother to her four children and a grandma to her grandkids and great grandkids; she loved every part of motherhood. At the age of 57 Linda began her career as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base. Linda loved supporting our warfighters to keep America safe. Linda will forever be remembered as a true patriot. At the age of 70 Linda received Jesus Christ into her heart. Through many trials and tribulations her heart remained true to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Linda enjoyed being a member of Grace Community Baptist Church. Linda was a true warrior. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Annabelle Routen, brother Ken Routen, Son Kenny Henderson, Daughter Anna Dillon. Linda is survived by her brothers Gene Routen of Clinton and Tim Routen of Las Vegas; Daughters Shelly Fazio of Oklahoma City, and Trisha Tuck of Newalla; eight grandchildren Cortney Bales, Cody Skye, Abby Dillon, Zach Dillon, JJ Tuck, Amanda Henderson, Emily Henderson, Jennifer Henderson; Five great grandchildren, Kalina, Wyatt, Bri, Collin and Chanel and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson at gifts.mdanderson.org. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to MD Anderson Palliative Care Unit.
