Leroy Andy Barnard

Leroy Andy Barnard, age 73, resident of Konawa, Oklahoma entered his Heavenly home January 30, 2021 in Oklahoma City. He was born on May 10, 1947 in Kidder, Missouri to Howard Franklin and Lettie Mae (Nicholson) Barnard.

He grew up in Cameron, Missouri and graduated from Cameron High School in 1965. 

In 1985 at The Wang family Sunflower Motel in Hiawatha, Kansas he would meet the love of his life, Candace (Wang) Barnard, who he would marry in October 1987. Leroy was blessed with two handsome sons and nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Leroy proudly served his country in the United States Army National Guard. 

After getting out of the Army, he worked as an insurance broker before settling in Konawa, Oklahoma where he worked as an Industrial Electrician at Dart for 15 years. 

When Leroy wasn’t working at his day job his greatest passion was working his farm and horses. His personality was vibrant and illuminated the lives of all he met. Leroy was loved and cherished and will continue to be so through memories shared with future generations to come.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Howard Franklin and Lettie Mae (Nicholson) Barnard; two brothers Ralph and Lloyd Barnard and sister Alta Mae Orr and three great grandchildren.

Those left to continue his legacy include his loving wife, Candace Barnard; children, Ronald Leroy Barnard and wife Regina, Andrew Leroy Barnard and wife Jacqueline; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; Brother Dennis Barnard and Sister Grace Hoepner.
