Laura Adkisson

Oklahoma City- Laura E. Adkisson, 83, died from natural causes March 14, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid, OK. She was born February 19, 1937, in Sunkist, OK, the daughter of William (Jack) Lawson and Josephine (Harden) Lawson.
Laura would soon marry her lifelong sweetheart Allison T. Adkisson on December 30, 1955 and they made their home together in Oklahoma City. They celebrated 64 years of marriage last December. Laura was a loyal member and Sunday School teacher at the Soul Harbor Pentecostal Church in Oklahoma City.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 11 siblings, 1 grandson, and 1 great great granddaughter. Surviving in addition to her husband, Allison Adkisson, are 4 siblings, 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 29 great great grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at Resthaven Funeral Home, 500 SW 104th St. OKC. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in OKC.
