Larry Holden

Larry Dale Holden was born to Betty Louise Ellison Holden and Michael Holden on September 1, 1948, in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. He left this earth on August 5, 2019, at his home in Blanchard Oklahoma.

Larry attended Midwest City High School leaving to join the Navy at the age of 17 in 1965. Larry served his county proud during the Vietnam War alongside his brother John Holden, US Navy. He has been a lifelong resident of Oklahoma, residing in Del City, Oklahoma City and Okemah before residing to Blanchard Oklahoma with his wife, Sherri Lyn Holden.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Holden; brother, Michael Ray Holden and wife Sherri Lyn Holden. He is survived by his two children; Larry Holden of Okemah. Oklahoma, Jodi Emberson of Bixby Oklahoma; former wife Judy Holden of Henryetta Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren Edward James Holden, Morgan Holden, Lacey Holden, Jerry Landrum, James Landrum, Makayla Landrum, Meriyah Landrum, Daniel Wilson, Monica Wilson, and Corbin Cook.

Larry was a great man to a great number of people and will always be remembered for his adoration of his family and friends, his love of being outside in the garden, on the lake, or on the river bank.
