Kerri McBride

March 5, 1969 ~ March 24, 2023 (age 54) 54 Years Old

Tribute

Kerri Genzer-McBride entered her Heavenly home March 24, 2023. She was born March 5, 1969 in Oklahoma City.
Kerri grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Moore schools. She graduated from Moore High School in 1986. She then went on to attend SWOSU where she completed her undergrad studies before pursuing her passion for medicine at SWOSU’s College of Pharmacy. Kerri was a pharmacist at Drug Warehouse in Tulsa for over 20 years before relocating to Oklahoma City. She began working at J & M Pharmacy inside of Crest and absolutely loved her time there. Serving people well was of the utmost importance to Kerri, and she truly put her heart and soul into her work.
On November 4, 2008, Kerri was blessed with her son, Dylan Heiberger. Dylan was the light of her life and the center of her universe. One was rarely seen without the other. Of all the things Kerri pursued and accomplished during her time here, she was most proud to be Dylan’s mother. Kerri married her soulmate, L. David McBride, on July 20, 2015 in Hawaii. The family of three loved to travel all over, but Hawaii was always their go-to destination. They explored the Islands multiple times with family and friends and made countless unforgettable memories to cherish forever.
In addition to her love of traveling, Kerri also loved decorating and shopping. She was a selfless woman who would randomly buy things for anyone and everyone, just because the item simply reminded her of them. She also loved cooking for her family and was amazing at it. Kerri had the heart of a servant whose beauty on the inside matched the outside. Whether it was giving her time, food, clothing, opening her home to someone, or lending a listening ear, Kerri selflessly and graciously acted on any need she saw with any person. She was an amazing daughter, mother, wife, sister and friend who will be missed forever by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in passing by her grandparents, Louis and Mabel King; nephew, Zach Genzer; birth father, John Dnistransky; mother-in-law, Nina McBride; and father-in-law, David McBride, Sr., as well as two uncles.
Those left to continue her legacy include her parents, Bonnie and Gary Genzer; her loving husband, L. David McBride; son, Dylan Heiberger; brother, Jason Genzer and wife Shannon; sister, Angela Parton; aunt, Janie King; sister-in-law, Shannon White and husband Rodger; sister-in-law, Vikki McBride; and her cherished friends, Kristie “Ruby” Craven and Courtney Gambi. Kerri is also survived by Ryan Ralph, who was practically a part of the family and brought so much joy to Kerri’s life over the years. She is also survived by a host of other loving extended family, friends and colleagues.
Kerri’s Celebration of Life is 10:00am, Saturday, April 1, 2023 in the Chapel at Resthaven. Condolences may be shared at www.ResthavenOKC.com.
