MSGT Kenneth Robert Roessler passed away on December 21, 2020 at Saint Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He was 72.
Kenneth was born on 12/3/1948 to TSGT Bernhard and Helen Roessler in Washington DC. where his father was serving in the USAF. Kenneth was married for 52 years to his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Marie Grizzard, whom he met at Savannah High School in 1965. They were married at Ridgeland, SC in 1968 after Kenneth graduated from Air Force Basic Training. Kenneth honorably served the Air Force where he spent 24 years in active-duty service stationed in Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Iceland and finally Oklahoma. After retirement, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and taught new engineers how to repair and re-program equipment for the US Postal Service. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoyed numerous hobbies including electronics, cars, motorcycles, and boating, but most especially woodworking. After retiring, Kenneth spent many years building furniture and projects for family, friends, and neighbors.
Kenneth is lovingly remembered by his wife Marie, son Chris, daughter-in-law Mechelle, his sister Diana, nieces Kimmie Morgan and Melissa Patterson, and grandnieces.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a service, but may schedule a memorial for a later date.
