Tribute

Kenneth Dale Evetts entered his Heavenly home on November 21, 2022. He was born July 20, 1947 to Jimmy Hugh Evetts and Ruby Oramae Evetts (Seth). Kenneth and his twin brother, Keith, were the only children and growing up they were inseparable. They did everything together and continued even through adulthood.

Kenneth was born in Stamford, TX and later moved to Louisiana where he and Keith spent a majority of their childhood. Eventually the family made their forever home in Oklahoma. Kenneth graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1965. He and Keith then went on to attend Central State College together and then the two joined the United States Army where they proudly served in Vietnam and served for 3 years prior to their honorable discharge.

After his military service, Kenneth went on to work at Tinker Air Force Base for a period before joining the Oklahoma City Fire Department. He made this his life-long career and ultimately retired from there at the age of 47. Kenneth loved the outdoors, fishing, being at the lake, and spending time at the family lake house at the Shawnee Reservoir. Above all, he adored his family and loved spending time with them. He was a devoted husband and the most amazing father, grandad and brother. Kenneth will be missed forever by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Jimmy and Ruby Evetts; son-in-law, Melvin Harrison; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Evetts.

Those left to continue his legacy include his loving wife, Marvele Evetts; daughters, Kristi Evetts and Sheri Harrison; his twin brother, Keith Evetts; grandchildren, Jimmie Prieto, Andrea Prieto, Kobe Harrison, and Kambry Harrison, ; great-grandchildren, Auvionna, Saryia, Sergio, and Jaslyn; nephews, Chad Evetts and Seth Evetts; niece, Robin Evetts; and his beloved weenie dog, Gus. Kenneth is also survived by a host of loving extended family and friends who will all miss him dearly.
