Keitha M. (Bledsoe) Wood was born March 25, 1932 in Pearson, Oklahoma to Keith Bledsoe and Mary Iva (White) Bledsoe, passed away on April 11, 2017. Keitha moved to Oklahoma City in 1944 at 12 years old. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1949 and then attended Hills Business College. She married Thomas (Tom) Wood on March 9, 1951 and worked on Film Row as a stenographer for Allied Artist and Columbia Pictures until becoming a fulltime housewife and later a mom to Teresa Jean and Susan Kim. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and sister, Jackie Davis; and niece Terry Davis. Keitha is survived by her husband Tom of 66 years; daughters, Teresa Porter, Kim Wallace and husband Clyde; adopted daughter, DeAnne Turner and husband Dr. Tommy Turner; grandchildren, Amy Monroe, Misty Cannon and husband Shane, Ashley Woodruff and husband John, Haley Wallace, Zachary Turner and wife Hillary, Caleb Turner, and Katie Turner; great grandchildren, Hunter, Cole, Braden, Hannah, and Abigail. Keitha was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. The family is comforted by the fact that Keitha was saved at 8 years old and is with Our Heavenly Father. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 14, 2017 at Southern Hills Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Doug Melton and Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. In lieu of flowers, Keitha requested donations be made to The Baptist Children’s Home, 16301 S. Western, Oklahoma City, OK 73170. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Good Shepherd Hospice, and her loving nurse Shara and all the friends who provided support, phone calls, and prayers. Keitha was privately entombed at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.
